2010 All-Star Rosters
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Doug Joyce, Matt Fitton and Navery Moore have been selected to play in the 2010 Prospect League All-Star Game, the league office announced Thursday. The three Nashville Outlaws will play for the East squad. The game will be held on July 6th, at QU Stadium in Quincy, Ill.
The all-star selections were voted on and made up by the field managers of all 15 participating teams in the league.
Moore, a hard-throwing right-hander from Vanderbilt, is 1-1 with a 3.32 ERA in three starts this summer. The Franklin, Tenn., native has 22 strikeouts and five walks in 19 innings.
Joyce (Florida International) has been a constant contributor in the middle of the lineup this summer for the Outlaws. In 11 games, Joyce is hitting .275 with a home run, three doubles and eight runs batted in. Joyce’s top performance came against West Virginia on June 20, when he went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI, leading the Outlaws to a 6-2 win over the Miners.
Fitton is 1-2 with a 3.44 ERA in nine appearances, including one start. The 6-foot-9 right-hander out of Sacred Heart has a 4:1 strikeout to walk ratio in 18.1 innings this summer. In his most recent outing on June 29, Fitton faced just four batters in one-inning of scoreless relief.
Festivities all-star weekend also include, a pro scout workout for all the players, a always home run derby before the game, fireworks after the game and plenty of food, drink and fun!
