An Eye For Developing Talent
By Craig Delk of the Herald Citizen
NASHVILLE -- There's just something Jason Bennett seems to like about developing talent.
The Cookeville native grew up dreaming about being involved in sports and business, and his latest venture has given him the best of both worlds. Bennett, a 1994 CHS graduate and 1998 Tennessee Tech grad, helped co-found the Nashville Outlaws baseball club and now serves as its vice president.
The Outlaws are a collegiate summer wood-bat league that competes in the Prospect League, where student-athletes looking to make a future jump to professional ball can get a feel for what it's like as opposed to aluminum bats.
