Pittsburgh Pirates select Ennis in MLB Draft

By TY

Two weeks ago, left-handed pitcher Justin Ennis became the first Nashville Outlaw to be taken in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Ennis was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 33rd round (987th overall) of the 2010 amateur draft.

Ennis, a product of LSU-Shreveport, is coming off an impressive junior season where he went a perfect 12-0 with a 2.85 ERA en route to being named First-Team All Gulf Coast Athletics Conference for the Pilots. The 6-foot-2 southpaw ranks second all-time at LSU-Shreveport in career wins with 28 and fourth all-time in career innings pitched (274.1).
